What To Expect

As a member of our Veterinary Emergency Clinic Sarasota, you can expect our full attention to your pet’s needs. Similar to human er services, we see ER patients according to medical necessity. While extended wait times are possible, we will do everything in our power to treat your pet as quickly as possible, based on the severity of illness.

After check-in, one of our veterinary technicians will start by asking about your pet’s medical history, current condition, and the reason for your visit, gathering data for the doctor. Then, one of our veterinarians will examine your pet, ask you further questions, and may recommend diagnostic tests if necessary. Once the tests have been run, which can usually be done in-house, your doctor will discuss a possible diagnosis and treatment plan if warranted.

At discharge, a technician will review written instructions and answer any questions you may have.
